    With over 5 million family heirlooms (and counting), they plan on adding over 100+ items to the site throughout the week. It's a big job, but bringing a touch of the past into the hands of family historians and genealogists is well worth it.

    The Nationwide Gravesite Locator includes burial records from many sources. These sources provide varied data; some searches may contain less information than others. Information on veterans buried in private cemeteries was collected for the purpose of furnishing government grave markers, and we do not have information available for burials prior to 1997

    Chronicling America is a site that allows you to search and view newspaper pages from 1880-1922 and find information about American newspapers published between 1690-present.

    Chronicling America provides access to information about historic newspapers and select digitized newspaper pages, and is produced by the National Digital Newspaper Program (NDNP). NDNP, a partnership between the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) and the Library of Congress (LC), is a long-term effort to develop an Internet-based, searchable database of U.S. newspapers with descriptive information and select digitization of historic pages. Supported by NEH, this rich digital resource will be developed and permanently maintained at the Library of Congress.
